Decodes digital protocols
The IC-R30 decodes various digital protocol signals, including P25 (phase 1), NXDN ™, dPMR ™, D-STAR (Digital Smart Technology for Amateur Radio) and Japanese domestic DCR (Digital Convenience Radio).
Broadband range of 0.1 - 3304.999 MHz
The IC-R30 covers a wide frequency range of 0.1 to 3304.999 MHz, and receives conventional analogue signals such as AM, FM, WFM, USB, LSB and CW, as well as modulation types for digital speech *. A ferrite rod antenna for AM broadcast is built in and the earphone cable can be used as an external antenna for broadcasts in the FM broadcast band.
* SSB, CW and digital modulation types: 0.1 MHz-1.3 GHz. Usable frequencies and modulation types differ depending on whether band A or band B is selected. See the specifications for more information.
Dualwatch use
The receiver can operate on different received bands with different modulation types. For example, HF and UHF signals can be monitored simultaneously. You can scan to other active channels on band B while listening to band A of band A of your choice.
Recording function on two tapes simultaneously
The audio that is received simultaneously from two bands in dualwatch mode can be recorded separately in wav format on a microSD card *. The recorded audio can be played on the receiver or on a PC. In addition, frequency, modulation type, S meter reading, time, current position data and height can be stored simultaneously with the received audio.
2.3-inch large LCD screen and intuitive user interface
A 2.3-inch dot matrix screen is used in the IC-R30. Screens with large amounts of information are clearly and logically arranged. The four-direction key ensures easy operation of all functions.
Integrated GPS receiver
The integrated GPS receiver displays your current position data, heading, speed and altitude on the screen. GPS data can also be stored in recorded audio files. The IC-R30 can display overviews up to 50 stations within 160 km of your current location *.
* The position data of each station must be pre-programmed in the memory channels
Bandscope function
The band scanning function makes it possible to view a specific specified frequency range on the screen, in the form of the relative reception strength around the receiving frequency. You can jump to the desired signal on the bandcope so that the receiver is set to that frequency.
Voice function
The voice function displays the operating frequency and modulation type in spoken word when you turn the tuning knob or press the [SPEECH] button. This function is useful for changes to the receiver's tuning in combination with the Bluetooth® headset that does not require the receiver to be watched.
Long battery life, up to 8.3 hours
The supplied BP-287 Li-ion battery pack provides 8 hours and 20 minutes * usage. The optional BP-293 battery holder, with AA (LR6) alkaline cells, can be used as a handy backup battery.
* The dual-watch function is ON (band A: continuously received, band B: in standby), the power saving function is set to "Auto (short)" (automatic, short), the volume of the internal speaker is set to " 20 ", the GPS function is enabled and the Bluetooth function is OFF.
And more ..
• Robust construction according to IP57
• Charging via USB port
• Long battery life, up to 8.3 hours
• microUSB connection for voice and storage data
• More options can be found in the brochure
Easily control your IC-R30 with this free App!
The RS-R30I is designed for iOS ™ and the RS-R3A for Android ™ and can be downloaded for free. With this application you can wirelessly connect to the IC-R30 and operate remotely. It has a variety of scans, memory channels and voice functions. It is possible to pair the Bluetooth headset, the VS-3, with your iOS ™ or Android ™ device so that you can listen to the incoming sound and simultaneously control the IC-R30.
The RS-R30I for iOS ™ is now free to download in the App Store, the RS-R30A for Android ™ will appear this month in the Google Play Store.
The IC-R30 is the successor to the popular IC-R20 compact handheld receiver. The IC-R30 can listen to two signals under certain conditions (analogue + analogue or analogue + digital). The IC-R30 will be able to decode D-STAR, P25, NXDN and dPMR digital (conventional) modes.
